About Me
My name is Ashley Paladino and I am a History teacher at Hackensack High School. I teach Special Education students that are in the 9th and 10th grades. In November 2013, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia; a carrier of the Philadelphia positive trait. I underwent 4 extensive rounds of chemotherapy, and required a bone marrow transplant. I was fortunate enough that my sister was a perfect match and was able to be my donor for the bone marrow transplant procedure. In June 2014, my transplant oncologists gave me the best news that I had heard in months; I was cancer free! In September 2014, I was able to return back to my teaching position at Hackensack High School. After my long hard fought battle, I wanted to give back to the people that supported me every step of the way. I have established a scholarship foundation for graduating seniors at Hackensack High School and 8th grade students at South Hackensack Memorial School. With your help I hope we can provide financial support for those students looking to further their education.
