About

I am a professor of economics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).

Before taking up my current position at SDU, I held positions as assistant and associate professor at the University of Copenhagen. I also worked as a staff economist at the Danish central bank. 

My interests are comparative economics, economic development, economic history, and growth & macroeconomics. I have published in journals such as Review of Economic Studies, Review of Economic Statistics, Economic Journal, Energy Economics, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Growth, IMF Economic Review, and World Bank Economic Review. 

I live in Copenhagen with my wife and two children.
