Slideshows and photo albums

Slideshows or photo albums can be easily added to your portfolio from within Google Sites. Of course, you can also link to videos and media from other sites as well.

Slideshows

Select the Insert tab upper left.
Select "Document."
Choose the slideshow you wish to display.
Set the properties according to how you wish the slideshow to appear.

Photo Albums

Select the Insert tab upper left.
Select "Picasa photo" or Picasa web slideshow."
Choose the slideshow you wish to display.
Set the properties according to how you wish the slideshow to appear (check "show photo captions").
Make sure each slide has been properly labeled before selecting.

NOTE: Your slideshow will not be visible to viewers once you log out of Google UNLESS you make your slide show "public on the web." In Picassa, select the slideshow, the actions tab, album properties, and under "visibility" choose "public on the web." If you are using another photo sharing program such as Facebook, Snapfish, Kodak Gallery, etc., you will likely need to make your albums viewable to the public if you want your portfolio viewers to see your slideshow.
