Tarek Masaud
is an Assistant Professor in The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (UCCS). Prior to joining UCCS, he was an assistant professor in the department of Computer Sciences and Electrical Engineering at Marshall University, WV (Fall 2017- Spring 2021). He received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from 7th of April University - Libya in 2003. He received MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering emphasizing in the broad interrelated areas of Energy Systems, Electric Power, Machines and Renewable Energy from Colorado School of Mines , Golden, Colorado, USA in 2012 and 2013, respectively. His research Interests include grid integration of renewable distributed generation, power system operation and planning, energy management and microgrid optimization.
