Tao Lu (芦涛)

• I am an assistant professor at the Operations and Information Management Department, School of Business, University of Connecticut (UConn).  Prior to joining UConn, I was a faculty at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University where I taught executive-level and graduate courses. I obtained my Ph.D. degree at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology . I also hold an M.Phil. degree and a Bachelor degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Beijing Jiaotong University, respectively. In addition, I held visiting appointments at various universities, such as Dartmouth College, Eindhoven University of Technology, National University of Singapore, and Singapore Management University. 

• My research interests include supply chain management, transport logistics, gig economy platforms, and socially responsible operations.  My research has been published in top-tier academic journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Operations Research, Production and Operations Management and Transportation Science. I am serving as an Associate Editor of the Service Science journal.
