Tanay Chattopadhyay was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, on January 15, 1977. He received the M.Sc. degree in physics with special paper electronics from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, in 2002. He also received the Diploma in computer hardware maintenance and networking in 2006. Now he has got Ph D degree in physics from West Bengal University of technology in 2012.
He was working as a Junior Manager at Kolaghat Thermal Power Station (a unit of West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd. Govt. of West Bengal Enterprise), Mecheda, West Bengal, India. After that he is transferred to Sagardighi Thermal power Project, Murshidabad in 2017. He has more than 100 papers published/ accepted in international/national journals and symposia proceedings and also write two book chapters. He is also a reviewer of several international journals. His current research interests include optical logic-based information processing, multiple-valued logic, optical communication and laser and nonlinear optics. His current interest is also with nanotechnology and quantum cellular automata. He also attached with different collaborative research works.
Dr. Chattopadhyay joined as an Editorial Board Member in (Optoelectronics and Photonics) - Physics Express on July 2010. In 2013 he is selected for associate editor (in optics-optical devices section) in that journal. Also he is selected for the 2012, 2014 Edition of Who's Who in the World and 100 Top professions of 2012 in British International Biographical center.
