Wireless Cognitive Artificial Intelligence (WCAI) Lab and Remote Healthcare Technology

The Wireless Cognitive Artificial Intelligence (WCAI) Lab and Remote Healthcare Technology was conceptualized and created in March 2009 by Dr. Khalid Qaraqe, Dr Slim Alouini, Dr. Hussein Alnuweiri and the contribution of Dr Erchin Serpedin , Dr Joseph Boutros and Dr Mazen Saghir, under a Qatar Telecomm (Qtel) grant and support from Deans Mark Weichold, Jim Holste, Dr. Clifton Griffin and the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University at Qatar. We pursue research projects and collaborations in different areas of fundamental and applied research in wireless communications, signal processing, wireless system design, and emerging mobile applications. The mission of the lab is:

"To lead a culture of research excellence, innovation, and technology development in Qatar."

The lab is equipped with spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, oscilloscopes, antennas, logic analyzers, network analyzers, FPGAs, in addition to the simulation tools and libraries.
