TRUCH

Challenge your intelligence and visual dexterity to build loops in a board of Truchet tiles

The objective of the game is to complete as many loops of a single colour as possible with the tiles displayed before the time runs out by rotating, swapping and sliding the tiles.

There are two kinds of tiles: crossed and truchet (double arc) tiles.

Movements

Tiles rotate by pressing them: short press rotates them a quarter turn clockwise, long press rotates them a quarter turn anti-clockwise.

Tiles swap position with the adjacent tile by dragging them to the adjacent tile.

Tiles in one line slide one position in a certain direction by dragging the line in that direction.

Not all the movements are possible in every level.

Tiles lie in a flat square whose opposite sides are connected (Euclidean 2-torus). This means that the tiles on one side are connected to the tiles on the opposite side of the square and the lines keep continuity between the opposite edges.

When a loop is completed, each tile of the loop will change: crossed tiles change to truchet tiles and truchet tiles change to crossed tiles.

Levels

Each level allows different kinds of movements. As the levels increase, the movements allowed will be restricted, making it more challenging to complete the loops.

Scoring

You get 5 points per each tile that is in the loop completed. If you complete 2 loops in a single movement, the points scored will be doubled.

Time

The starting time is 120 seconds. You can get extra time by completing complex loops.
