Mahian Kabir Joarder
Mahian Kabir Joarder has received his B.Sc degree from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). His primary research interests include: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Localization and Tracking, Digital Signal Processing and Deep Learning to Adress Public Health Problems. He was awarded with ”Crystal Sea Award” in Global Healthcare Challenge 2024, organized by RICE360 Institute of Global Health Technologies, RICE University, Texas, USA for controlling vector borne mosquito diseases. He has also come out Second in the Global Healthcare Design Competition 2024 in Digital Health Category organized by Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. He became 1st Runner Up in Bangladesh Society of Medicine for poster presentation on the controlling measure of the outbreak of Dengue. He has served as Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Biology Olympiad in 2021-2022. Mahian has recently completed his honors on North Indian Classical Music from Chhayanaut Cultural Center. He is currently doing his masters under the supervision of Dr. Ali F.M. Rezwan. He research interest in North Indian Classical Music includes: Aesthetics, colors of Ragas and the effect of Raaga on human life and nature.
Mahmud Wasif Nafee
Mahmud Wasif Nafee, is serving as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Appropriate Technology, BUET. He has received his B.Sc degree from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) with a focus on AI applications in healthcare. Currently, he is engaged in research that leverages AI to enhance diagnostic tools and improve accessibility for children with ASD.
Sadia Akter
Sadia Akter, currently enrolled in the M.Sc. program in Management of Technology at the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She is a recipient of the Postgraduate Fellowship from BUET. Sadia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from East West University. Her academic interests encompass diverse fields in various domains, including Block-Chain, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, and human-computer interaction (HCI). Notably, she received recognition in the 2023 IEEE WIE Climate Tech Big Idea Pitch Competition for her exceptional contribution, earning an honorable mention for her innovative business idea aimed at addressing climate challenges. Presently, her research endeavors are concentrated on optimizing WiFi signal strength through Channel State Information (CSI) analysis. Dedicated to the transformative potential of technology, Sadia remains actively involved in both research and academic pursuits.
Ahsanul Islam
Ahsanul Islam is a technology enthusiast currently pursuing his Master of Science (MSc) degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He received his B.Sc. degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). He has knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and others, which enables him to effectively apply technology for automation and problem-solving. His primary research interests are in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Signal Processing, and Computer Vision, and he is dedicated to discovering new applications and advancing these topics. With a solid academic background and a passion for hands-on initiatives, Ahsanul is always seeking new ways to broaden his horizons in the field of technology. He was a regional winner at the National Undergraduate Math Olympiad in 2018 in Khulna and has been awarded for his contributions to research and publications at the undergraduate level. He is motivated to contribute his technical expertise to the development of the research community and the evolving technological landscape by staying informed of the latest research through academic literature and industry trends.
Mahmudul Mohtasim is curently pursuing his M.Sc. in ICT at the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) of BUET. He completed his B.Sc. in EEE from BUET. Currently, he is engaged in research that leverages AI to enhance diagnostic tools and improve accessibility for children with ASD.
