Education Background

Research Interests

I am broadly interested in software engineering, information security, data mining, and digital healthcare. In these days, I am studying methods of predictive analytics that are applicable to many domains such as healthcare and software engineering.  In the big data era, measuring complicated software systems and predicting their future behaviors are inevitable and essentially required to help people understand the systems and make a better decision in system operation and management. Here are my interesting research topics:

Patents

[a] It analyzes EEG brainwave data and detects phases (esp., wake-to-sleep transition) of the sleep process of insomnia patients to provide them with neurofeedback relieving sleeplessness stress.

[b] It analyzes 24-hours daily rhythm pattern of hundreds of patients with using data mining techniques and detects any anomaly or irregular patterns inside the data that can cause some mental troubles.

[c] It analyzes software repository data to find influential defects, customize the defect information, and recommend easy checklist for detecting future similar defects.

[d] It analyzes developers who produce low quality of software. Developers who have wrong/inefficient coding patterns or working habits can induce defective codes.

[e] It predicts defects with information of developer’s interaction data collected from the Eclipse-based development environments.
