**Feb 14-16 Death Valley Adventure

Recommended itinerary:  

Day 1.  Drive and then hike up to a ridge (900' gain over less than a mile) to view a crashed CIA plane from the 1950s (binoculars or telescope will be nice).  Spend the night in Stovepipe Wells or Furnace Creek. 

Day 2.  Scouts decide where to explore Death Valley such as dunes, pupfish, canyons, Furnace Creek, scenic views, and visit Badwater (lowest US elevation).  Camp near Shoshone.

Day 3.  Drive home.  Choose an interesting roadside attraction to visit.

Meet at the church at 7am Saturday.

What to Bring:

Laminated heath card, $66ea Scout or $70ea Adult to chip in for vehicle gas, one campground fee, park entrance fees, and groceries.  Your green troop t-shirt for Sunday, jacket, car camping duffel bag, folding camp chair.  Bring cash for road lunch on Monday.
