Build your High Adventure Team skills and take your Scouting to the next level!
What you’ll learn:
Map reading, Compass usage, and Orienteering Concepts & Terrain Navigation; Practical decision making on a specially designed 3-mile course.
Rank Requirement Completion Opportunities:
Second Class 3a, 3c, 3d
First Class 4a, 4b
Orienteering Merit Badge: most of the skills requirements will be covered.
When:
Sunday December 14th - 9:00am start (approximately 3 hour course)
Where:
O’Melveny Park, 17300 Sesnon Blvd, Granada Hills, CA 91344
What to Bring:
Proper clothing for 3-mile hike per weather forecast; ten essentials including sunscreen, water, snacks; plus writing instrument and orienteering compass.
