2015 Washington State Medicine Take-Back Summit

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), in partnership with the Office of Governor Jay Inslee of the State of Washington and the County of Snohomish, will be hosting a Medicine Take-Back Summit on Monday, October 5, 2015. The purpose of this Summit is to provide a forum to address the difficult challenges the State of Washington faces regarding the safe and secure disposal of the public’s unwanted or expired medications. The Summit’s goal is to discuss and obtain commitments from private sector partners to share responsibility in devising a sustainable and comprehensive approach for consumers in the collection and destruction of the unwanted drugs.

State and local government elected officials, law enforcement as well as critical partners within the pharmaceutical industry (manufacturers, distributors, reverse distributors, pharmacies, and hospitals), industry associations, as well as waste management and environmental advocates, are cordially invited to attend and participate in the Summit (Click here for the Agenda).

The Summit will be held at the Lynnwood Convention Center, 3711 196th Street SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no registration fee for the Summit. However, attendees will be responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and meal expenses. Click for driving directions.

The conference hours will be from 8:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Conference check-in will be from 7:00a.m. to 7:45a.m.
