Despite temperatures nudging 27C by the time their wave set off, SMC's team in the Rat Race Trailblazer 10km trail run on Sat 26th May in the Forest of Dean did the club proud by finishing 4th of 13 teams!!!
Leading the way was Sasha who completed the course in an excellent 49:21 mins, finishing as the 15th fastest female overall! There were 763 runners in total.
Sasha was followed home by Steve (51:47), Phil (53:54), Dave S (54:48) and, in her first 10k event, Tracy (01:16:35), to give an aggregate team time of 04:46:26, less than 10 mins off a podium finish!
In a double coup for Swindon, the winning team were the Swindon Parkrunners Team 2 in 04:25:50!
