Andrew Swiecki is senior director of strategy for Siemens Digital Industries Software where he responsible for the technology partner ecosystem. In this role Andy manages technology licensing, software & technology partner program, startup innovation & entrepreneurial programs, professional affiliations and the JT Open program. In addition Andy oversees the global diversity and inclusion program.
Prior to moving into his current role, Andy held a variety of positions within the Siemens marketing and strategy organizations. His responsibilities included technology integration, product interoperability, intellectual property licensing, 3rd party alliances, academic partner program, product marketing and partner marketing. Andy started with Siemens in 2007 when Siemens acquired UGS Corporation. He began with UGS in 2004 when it spun-off from EDS.
Andy is the former vice president of marketing and sales at Corning IntelliSense, a subsidiary of Corning and leader in micro-technology (MEMS). Andy was instrumental in IntelliSense’s company development and acquisition by Corning in 2000 with a valuation of $750 million. A member of the senior management team, Andy was responsible for corporate strategy, business development, technology acquisition, software development, sales, and marketing.
Prior to his position with IntelliSense, he was a member of the start-up team at Amerigon Incorporated, a high tech startup developing automotive technologies such as radar systems, seating systems and alternative energy vehicles. Amerigon (now Gentherm) completed a public offering in 1993 and currently supplies proprietary components for automotive markets.
Andy has a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Michigan. Andy is a member of the University of Michigan Engineering Alumni Board. He was a founding board member for the Michigan Small Tech Association, MEMS Industry Group and Massachusetts Nanotechnology Initiative. Andy also served on the board of directors of the Great Lakes Entrepreneur's Quest.
