Tips for presenting

Even if you have presented many times, rehearsing your presentation at least once will make it more likely that people understand better what your paper is about, and want to read it later, and will make it easier for you to fit it within the allocated time.

The purpose of the presentation is to get people interested in your work, and start a discussion on how it connects with the ideas and experiences of other people attending the workshop. As a rule of thumb, try to bring less than one slide per each minute allocated to your talk, or you are likely to run out of time.

You are welcome to present with your own laptop, but as a back-up, please also export your presentation to PDF format and save it on a USB stick, so that you can use somebody else's computer if yours fail to display properly on the screen.
