Welcome to Sheyenne Valley Special Education Unit website. My name is Jennifer Pecoraro. I have eleven years experience in the Special Education field, with two of those having served as a Professional Development Trainer and Behavior Intervention Specialist. I am currently enrolled at the University of North Dakota to obtain my Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential.
My husband is a Valley City State University alumni and coach. Our family’s love for Valley City has driven our relocation to North Dakota from Florida. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication, a master’s degree in Special Education, and an Autism Spectrum Disorder endorsement.
Alannah is one of the School Psychologists serving Sheyenne Valley Special Education Unit. This is her first year serving as the unit's part-time Program Coordinator as well. She is passionate about student and family advocacy, systems changes, and educator well-being. She has served at the state level for the past seven years on the ND Association of School Psychologists (current Past President), which has increased her advocacy and professional skills. Outside of work, she is a wife and mom. She enjoys reading, traveling, helping with the farm and cows, and spending her off time with her son and nephews.
