Accommodations
Headroom is 6'4 and berth lengths are 7', accommodating five plus two on the settees in the salon when needed. Salon berths are equipped with lee cloths for comfort and safety on long passages. Aft cabin has a double berth to port with a small divider settee from the starboard single berth.

Borealis is equipped with the standard 60amp alternator, which charges the start battery, as well as a 140amp engine driven alternator which charges the house bank of batteries. There is also an emergency start feature which provides a crossover in emergency situations whereby the house bank is switched over to do an engine start.

Borealis is powered by a Yanmar 54hp 4 cylinder diesel auxiliary engine, fresh water cooled, mounted on four rubber engine mounts in an insulated engine room. The engine room is huge, providing easy access to all parts of the engine and other mechanical equipment. With approximately 91 US gals of fuel, her cruising range is about 700 nautical miles.
