Dr. Suvra Sarkar did her undergraduate studies (Physics Hons.) from Durgapur Govt. College, West Bengal, India. She received P. N. Sinha Gold Medal from Burdwan University (B.U.) and award from Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, Teen Murti House, New Delhi for securing first class first position in B.Sc. Hons. final examination in 1981. She did M.Sc. in Physics (1983) from Burdwan University (B.U.) India with specialization in radio-physics and Electronics. She was awarded with University Gold Medal (B.U.) for becoming first class first in the M.Sc. final year examination, B. U. (1983). She joined B. U. for doctoral studies after qualifying NET (UGC) in 1985 received PhD from B.U. in 1990. From 1991-1995, she worked as a research associate (CSIR) in Physics Department, B.U..
Dr. Suvra Sarkar is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics, Burdwan Raj College, Burdwan-713104, West Bengal, India. She has over 24 years of teaching experience in the field of electronics and physics.
UG Courses Taught:
Circuit theory & Network analysis, Semiconductor Devices and Circuits, Digital Electronics, Active Devices and Electronic Circuits, C-programming, Signal and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Communication Electronics, Transmission Lines and Waveguides, Control Systems.
Dr. Suvra has authored about 70 journal and conference papers of national as well as international repute. She has authored 3 textbooks on Electronics and one Springer book chapter on nonlinear dynamics. She has also completed two UGC minor projects in Burdwan Raj college.
