To All Sussex Chessplayers

I am standing down as Correspondence Chess team captain and I ask for a volunteer to take over this rewarding post.

The Team Captain’s immediate task is to raise a ten-player Ward-Higgs team to enter the Counties & Districts CC Championships.

The format is two games (one White, one Black) played by Web-server.

There are already five volunteers: Robert Elliston, Feliks Kwiatkowski, Leslie Eastoe, Paul Batchelor, and Trevor Norton.

Controller Neil Limbert says, “Entries must be received by 30 September with the tournament commencing in October.”

Prospective players and TCs should contact me in the first instance for further details.

My sincere thanks to all players Past and Present for their loyal support during the ‘80s, ‘90s and noughties. During this period the Sussex team were National Champions on five occasions.
