"Susan Bell was my 7 year old twins first piano teacher. How grateful I am that she was the one who introduced my children to music. They are now 10 years old and still playing with eagerness. I completely attribute that to her genuine and sincere enthusiasm that she helped instill in them. It is no easy task to teach young boys how to play piano and keep them interested. She knew exactly how to handle my son after just a short time of working with him. My daughter took to it a bit easier and she simply thrived with her. She has since moved to Texas and it has been a struggle to find someone with the same ability to teach as she has. I only wish Susan hadn't moved! "My daughter is a cellist, and she needed a piano accompanist who could play at a very advanced level for competitions and recitals. Susan was just the right person for the job. She was able to play the difficult classical piano pieces required, and accompanied my daughter when she won her youth orchestra concerto competition (playing Haydn Cello Concerto in C). So much of my daughter's success was due to Susan's tutorage. She really inspired her and devoted the time needed to make sure she had the right musicality and confidence needed to be successful.

"Susan Bell has a unique gift of sharing her musical talent to nurture her students, both children and adults. Two of my sons (now 10 and 13) thoroughly enjoyed taking piano lessons with her. She met them where they were: musically and developmentally, and encouraged them to do their best as they explored the musical opportunities she offered them. My children would frequently come home from a lesson and go directly to the piano to try something new that Mrs. Bell had taught them. Her recitals were always positive and affirming experiences. When my younger son was reluctant to perform for the first time, Mrs. Bell somehow reassured him that he was completely competent to perform (I tried to tell him that many times, but it was more effective coming from Mrs. Bell!) My kids were having so much fun, I thought a few lessons would be good for me too! I am a professional musician, and I took several lessons with Susan so I could improve my composition techniques and chord studies. Susan Bell is an exemplary teacher and musician. Her love for music and her desire to see her students succeed is inspiring. We miss her very much in Virginia!"

Recitals are an important element to an active Piano Studio!
Mrs. Bell offers recitals twice a year.
One at Christmas and one at the end of the School year.
