About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and currently serve as Assistant Dean, Academic Affairs at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, India. I joined the university in February 2020. Previously, I worked as an Assistant Professor at DAV University, Jalandhar, from August 2014 to January 2020.

I obtained my M.Sc. (Honours School) in Mathematics from Panjab University, Chandigarh, in 2010 and completed my Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from the same university in 2016 under the supervision of Prof. S. K. Tomar.

My research interests are in Continuum Mechanics, particularly elastic wave propagation and related problems in classical and non-classical theories of elasticity. My work has primarily focused on wave propagation and vibration in swelling porous media, with related interests in thermoviscoelastic materials with voids and chiral materials.

I have published research papers in international journals and have also co-authored a book. I am currently involved in a DST-PURSE research project and supervise Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate dissertation students. I have also been associated with various workshops, seminars, and conferences as an invited speaker, resource person, and session chair.
