Currently, Dr. Supratim Mitra is an Assistant Professor at Department of Physics, Banasthali Vidyapith, India. Prior to joining Banasthali Vidyapith, he worked at NIIT University during 2014-17. He has finished his M. Sc from Banaras Hindu University in Condensed Matter Physics and Ph. D in Materials Science from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2015. In his Ph. D work, he has investigated the structure-property correlation of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics. His current research focuses on the development of functional materials for electromechanical and electrochemical applications including energy harvesting/storing.
