  • This co-authored research project investigates the overall trade impact and comparative advantage effects of the Belt and Road initiative of China using both GIS and econometric analyses.


Research Intern - Fund Internship Program (Summer, 2015)

International Monetary Fund, Washington, DC

  • Conducted two summer research projects supervised by Dr. Mark Plant under the Fund Internship program, 2015:

(i) Examined what factors present at the time of recruitment determine the eventual success of the economists who join the IMF through the Economist Program using a two part model. (ii) Examined if the use of flexible work arrangement practices increase the labor productivity at the IMF using a propensity score matching technique with binary and continuous treatments.

  • In addition, I worked with Dr. Valerie Cerra (Assistant Director, IMF-WHD) on the trade integration in Latin America cluster project in summer, 2016.
