7-Zip can open all multi-file packages below. Windows can open some.

Farbrausch Werkkzeug3 as a compiled binary (rather than source code, but with source code included) with a few minor modifications to expose all functional features at once (including putting audio-file magic sniffing in the player), but not unfunctional stuff (Build EXE...), and to clarify ambiguous or outdated GUI text.

Unwar (reverse-engineering tool by Sauron for Farbrausch Werkkzeug4) for Linux is available here:

I have created a Windows port. It was not a simple matter of commenting out the directory mode, due to CR/LF-related issues (uses of open and fopen had to be changed to specify binary mode, this is the type of error would show up only at runtime or even as output corruption, not at build time).

Also, the CWI STDWIN library (used with some of the older 1.x *nix Python versions and used in some programs written for them but now virtually extinct) - I found this on an FTP site (thanks to an FTP indexer) and now mirror it.

I (running Windows) was disappointed to find that Extreme Tux Racer 0.4 crashed upon loading the race GUI, but happy to learn how little needed to be done to fix it. This is a patch file for the benefit of those with Cygwin or similar, but is intuitive to self-apply.

I found this oscillator in Conway's Life completely by accident. Open in Life32 (others may work). Has anyone found this before me?

One of the more interesting screensavers I have experienced. Last seen on Windows ME, this is a Microsoft standard screensaver called 3D Maze. This is presumably a newer version than http://markk-b.tripod.com/downloads/w98maze/w98maze.html and does not in my experience make you override kernel32.dll or whatever in order to run it (on 32-bit XP at any rate). Can run (in my experience) on later or 64-bit Windows, albeit with a glitch leading the walls to mostly appear with the ceiling texture.

The bsddb185 Python module, formerly the bsddb module, a binding to the copyfree Berkeley DB 1.85 used in FreeBSD, not to be confused with the newer module/package by the bsddb name, which binds to the copyleft Sleepycat/Oracle Berkeley DB. Ported to build against both 2k and 3k, and adjusted to bring up to date with a recent version of the the Python DBM API (support for key iterators, and use of a subclass of IOError). Also, the library it binds to, with existing bug patches applied and existing Windows portability fixes incorporated (altered slightly, so as not to compromise *nix viability).

A copy of the freely-distributable disease simulator "Wildfire" from Neptunesys. Its homepage was last seen in 2004, and downloads can no longer be accessed thereform.
