As a part of the summer school supported by the European School of Antennas (ESoA), I attended several courses and undertook the project on "Rectenna Design" implemented on the Advanced Design Systems (ADS) software. The aim of the project was to emulate a Rectenna Design for enabling wireless power harvesting. The main components are three-fold: (1) Antenna Design, (2) Appropriate Diode Selection, and (3) Rectifier Design. Once these components are realized, they are connected together and tuned with the help of Smith chart available on the ADS software. The project was completed in three days, with presentation held on 12-Oct-2018. The team members for this project comprised of: Mr. Zhenbei LI (China), Dr. Van Hieu NGUYEN (France/Vietnam), Mr. Yelzhas ZHAKSYLYK (Norway/Kazakhstan) and myself (Luxembourg/India).
Literature survey on the topic was done as a course project. The development of nanotechnologies will continue and will have a great impact in almost every field. The use and control of these technologies will be a major advantage in economics, homeland security, sustainable growth and healthcare. Molecular communication seems to provide efficient mechanisms for networking of nano-machines. It represents a complete new communication paradigm in which the information is encoded into molecules. Nano-networks demand innovative solutions to create reliable molecular communication channels among nano-machines.

In this project report, the main aim was to provide comparison of LNMIIT with the other institutes in terms of managerial principles. Six different institutions including LNMIIT were taken up as academic institutions for comparisons. The project report is based on discussions with friends who are studying in these academic institutions and on exploring some articles on internet. The reasons for their success have been highlighted as ratings and it has been covered as to where LNMIIT stands compared to them.

The aim of this project was to develop noise reduction, frequency, and amplitude filters for a configurable digital hearing aid (DHA) in MATLAB. We can use these filters in telecommunication systems such as satellites and cell phones, in image processing, or in any place where there is sensitivity to high frequencies or loud noises.

In this project report, we have pointed out that one can detect the energy index of a human being by various methods. We need to work on either of the two: Happiness index or energy index to live a happy, sweet and a healthy life. Our project report may help people to work and improve on their happiness and energy indices to bring back the “SMILE” on their faces, which is needed the most in this so called “Busy World!”

In this project we have implemented Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) scheme in MATLAB, Multisim and Hardware. Our goal from this project was to modulate the baseband signals using QAM and then recover the original signals by demodulation of the modulated QAM signal. We have successfully implemented this modulation scheme at all the three platforms- Hardware, MATLAB and Multisim.

The project has successfully been made in MATLAB. Echo cancellation involves first recognizing the originally transmitted signal that re-appears, with some delay, in the transmitted or received signal. Once the echo is recognized, it can be removed by 'subtracting' it from the transmitted or received signal. This technique is implemented using a digital signal processor (DSP) and also be implemented in MATLAB. Echo cancellation is done using either echo suppressors or echo cancellers.

This project has been implemented by us on XILINX. The main aim of this project was to make the Toll-Booths automated. With the help of vehicle sensors, this project can be used practically.
