I will join the Howard P. Isermann Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) as an assistant professor from July, 2015. Currently I am a postdoc research scholar at UC Berkeley with Prof. Feng Wang. I obtained my Ph.D. in the Physics Department at Cornell University under the supervision of Prof.Dan Ralph in January, 2012. I received a M.S. degree in Physics from Brown University, and a B.S. degree in Physics from Nanjing University.

Openings:
I have a few openings available starting from July, 2015.
1) One position for postdoc on optics：
I am looking for a highly motivated postdoc who have had rigorous training in optical spectroscopy study, and experience with femto-second laser is a plus. The postdoc will be actively involved in the exploration of light-matter interaction in 2-dimensional (2D) materials and related heterostructures. We will also exploit 2D materials for novel optoelectronic devices. The candidate should have (or expect) a Ph.D. degree in Physics or Engineering. 2) Positions for graduate students:
My research is highly disciplinary and I am looking for highly motivated graduate students majored in Physics or Engineering. If you would like to explore the exciting novel optoelectronics in quantum materials and nanoscale devices based on 2D materials, please apply to the graduate program (CBE, EE, or Physics) at RPI and mention my name in the application.
