School History

Our parochial school, St. Sava Orthodox School, was established in 1996 and provides children with an Orthodox, Christian-based education from preschool through eighth grade.

What started as a small school with a low enrollment has blossomed into Milwaukee’s go-to source for an exceptional Orthodox education, rich in the Serbian culture. Students are able to learn in a friendly, faith-based environment and have plenty of extracurricular opportunities, including a musical program in the school’s curriculum.

1995. School Founding fathers joined Church Board with an idea to work on long lasting idea of having an Orthodox school.

1996. First School Board was formed.

February 10, 1997 The school is open. History was made.

May 24th, 200 First School Slava St. Cyril and Methodius was celebrated. 11/2000.

PTO was established.

September 2003 Serbian classes started for grades 1-8.

December 2004 Musical program started

June 2007 First 8th grade Graduation
