1. Teams will officiate themselves.
2. A team must have 4 players to begin and complete a match.
3. A team consists of at least 2 men and 2 women but may have up to 6 players on the court. You may have up to 10 players on your roster.
4. Teams that play the first game are responsible to get there early to set up nets. Last teams playing are responsible for taking nets down.
5. When playing with less than 6 players, the team may always use 3 players (subject to normal rotation) in the front row.
6. All Disputes will be discussed by captions only.
7. Team captains will use rock-paper-scissors prior to match to determine server. Winner may choose either side or serve. If serve is chosen, opponent may choose side.
8. Teams will switch sides after each set.
9. Teams will alternate starting serve for each set.
10. Score should be stated by server and agreed upon by opposing team prior to each serve or when score keepers are used, agreed to prior to serve.
11. Scoring will be rally scoring with best of 3 sets to (21/21/15) subject to time restrictions and win by 2.
12. In/Out calls will be made by team receiving the ball in question.
13. The defensive team may not block or attack the serve.
14. The defensive team may not block a second touch or set unless the ball breaks the plane of the net.
15. Server must stand behind serving line and only gets one attempt to hit the ball for each point.
16. A served ball that contacts the net remains in play.
17. Back row players may not attack the ball from in front of the 10' line.
18. Lifts, carries, double hits will be called 'on your honor' by the player making the mistake.
19. We will allow kicking in the league unless it becomes a problem. Then it will revert to only a foot pancake.
20. Contacting the net is legal so long as it doesn't interfere with play or provide an advantage. Contacting the net during spike or block is generally not allowed and will be called 'on your honor' by the player making the mistake.
21. There will be a 45-minute time limit per match. The score at the time limit will be the final score for the current set with teams playing one more serve only to break a tie score. The winning team must lead by just one point.
22. If less than 2 sets are completed or there is a split, the winner will be the team who won the first set or is leading in the 3rd set.
23. Walls, windows, banners, basketball goals, etc. are all considered out of play and the rally ends if hit. The team who hit it loses the point.
24. Ceiling, lights, and ductwork remain in play only for a ball hit by your own player while the ball is on your side of the court.
25. Conflicts will be resolved by communication between team captains.
26. Foul language is not acceptable. Inappropriate behavior, such as taunting or fighting will result in game forfeiture and possible expulsion from the league.
27. Spectators must remain in bleachers and off court during play.
28. There is no daycare for children, and all must be supervised in the bleachers. For safety reasons, please refrain from bringing children.
29. Reserve players must substitute in at the server position and remain on the court for a full rotation. There must be always at least 2 men and 2 women on the court for each team.
30. Winning team captains are responsible for reporting their win. A tally sheet will be provided or posted on game nights in the gym.
31. If you have six players on your roster that are playing, you may not pick up another player from another team to play. If you require a sub because you are short-handed, you may use no more than two players from another team during regular season play. For the last night of tournament play, all players must be on the team roster.

33. Regular season win totals will be used to generate seeds for the end of season tournament. In case of tie, there will be a game to 15 to determine the top seed to played prior to the tournament starting (5 pm).
All players must be at least 18 years of age and play at their own risk.
