Mrs. Kateri Davis' Classroom
I teach 6th through 8th grade computer classes at Briggs Middle School in Springfield, OR.
My Stop Motion Animated Film titled "The Flower". In my film, a boy makes friends with a girl he is attracted to by planting a seed and growing a flower that he gives to her. I used this as one of the examples shown to my students when I introduced the project.
Student Examples from my Stop Motion Animated Lessons:
Post-It Note Attack - I chose to post this one, because it is an example of making a stop motion movie without a mobile camera. Students each did their own film using the monitor cameras with Photobooth software, then they put the photos in iMovie to complete the animation.
Malfunction - I chose this movie to post, because it was filmed with a camcorder in photo mode and on a tripod.
The Gymnasium - I chose this movie to post, because it is an example of one of the videos made using a student's own iPad. A camera mount was made to hold it steady. I also liked the way the character did the back flip so smoothly.
