From beaches, hiking, golfing, flowers and festivals in summer... to cross-country and downhill skiing, tobogganing and snow in winter... you're sure to find something that is fun for you...
here are some of the things I LOVE about Minnedosa and why (after looking from coast to coast) I chose it as my home... below we have tons of town
photos and a you tube video
Welcome to the town of Minnedosa, Manitoba's Valley Paradise and voted one of Manitoba's most beautiful towns... 30 minutes to Brandon, MB (Brandon airport is only 25 min from our B&B). 30 minutes to Riding Mountain National Park (Clear Lake). Two hours to the capital city of Winnipeg, MB.
Our B&B is ideally located within Minnedosa, just at the edge, where you can enjoy the serenity of this location with lovely views of the gardens, pastoral views, and the 18 hole golf course (which was once part of the 'Taylor' farm... this is such a lovely course and such exceptional value that many of my guests golf at least once/day).
Just a couple minutes drive will take you to the soft, sandy beach and fresh waters of Minnedosa Lake. Swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking or watch the dragon boats practice...near the beach you can see Minnedosa Dam (which helps maintain the levels of the lake so that the lake experience is always optimal) the dam was originally used to generate hydro electricity for the town, and our B&B was the original stone farm house on the first fully electric farm in Manitoba... by the dam you can also see a plaque designated to Tanner's Crossing, the original name of the town with an interesting history.... AND don't forget to visit the Bison (located 'on the way to the beach') there is a small herd that can be seen from the road, and parking area... this is the only place I know of where you are sure to see the Bison and at such a close proximity, calving season is in May.
There are so many more wonderful things... pictures below...
