Our Parish Life

On October 22,  Monsignor Joseph Peterson, the Vicar General of the Diocese, celebrated Mass with us. After Mass he dedicated the statues of Mother Mary and St. Michael in front of our Parish Hall.  A brunch was held following the dedication.

Corpus Christi Sunday

Today Sunday, June 11th, 2023. St. Matthew's Parish celebrated Corpus Christi Sunday. We began with Eucharistic Adoration at 4:00pm in the church and then left in a parade of cars through Ravenswood with Father Pen carrying the Holy Eucharist for all to see. We returned to the church and completed our adoration service. Fellowship was enjoyed in the Parish Hall afterwards.

The parishioners of St. Matthew enjoyed a Valentine Dinner Dance on February 18, 2023

Great fellowship, delicious food, fun filled games, and dancing to music by rockin' DJs made for a night to be remembered!

Last Sunday, June 19th, 2022 on the Feast of Corpus Christi St. Matthew celebrated with Eucharistic Adoration and a procession through Ravenswood led by Fr. Pen with the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

On Sunday May 22, 2022 St. Matthew's honored their high school and college graduates at Mass and afterward with brunch. The Knights of Columbus presented the high school graduates with scholarships and the college graduates with gifts and all our graduates received gifts from the parish. Abigail Roberts and Annie Pierson graduated from Ripley High School; Carlee Hupp from Ravenswood High School; Mary Pierson from Fairmont State University and Riley Heatherington from the University of Charleston. Not present but graduating from the University of Ohio was Maggie Bowlby.

We are very proud of our graduates and pray for their continued success!
