This year, the Resident Seminar sessions will take place at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis in the Academic Research Building (rooms 304, 305, 336, 354, and 355). Additional details, including exact schedules, will be emailed to Residency Program Directors and posted to the CE website (www.uhsp.edu/ce) at least one day in advance.
Each Seminar date is broken into three sessions with multiple rooms running simultaneously. Each session is a total of 45 minutes, inclusive of both presentation and Q&A. Since CE sessions are accredited based on the amount of time they take, be careful to not go too far over or under your allotted time.
All materials for Resident Seminar must undergo a review process and be approved prior to their usage. Take note of the time materials are due – the time coincides with the time that review meetings are scheduled. Late submissions risk removal from the Seminar schedule. Submit all materials via email to Nicole Fields at Nicole.Fields@uhsp.edu.
The general learning objectives for Resident Seminar are below. Keep these in mind as you develop your content and write your self-assessment questions. The learning objective(s) you write for your Seminar presentation should fall under the general learning objectives submitted to ACPE.
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify potential changes in practice intended to improve patient outcomes.
2. Identify current evidence that supports implementation of changes in drug therapy.
Since all Resident Seminar sessions are knowledge-based CPE activities, please use the recommended learning objective verbs listed below.
