"The 18th is a fun and challenging finishing hole. As you approach with a cold beverage and a bite to eat on your mind, you must concentrate your fullest to close with a birdie. However, a double bogey or worse awaits the player who does not focus on the task at hand. A stand of rough and OB on the left and woods along the right put a premium on driving the ball in the fairway. (Aim for the right edge of the Best Western.) Long hitters will have a great opportunity to reach the green in two. For those forced to lay up, the fairway bunker in the middle of the fairway and a pond 60 yards short of the green can cause problems. The ideal lay up is played directly over the fairway bunker. The green is one of the largest on the course, and it offers many challenging pin placements and difficult putting before you can hit the 19th hole.
