About Me:Hi! I'm Lauren :) I'm currently living in NY and I am working as a Project Engineer at a Test Engineering firm. It's actually a lot of fun and something new all time... and I get to break things! On purpose! One of my coworkers once described our facility as myth-busters at home depot. While it's a very serious job I also try to have as much fun with it as I can.I love rescuing animals and I currently have a chow/lab mix, Shadow and a cute little kitten, Bella as well as my herps - I currently have leos, cresteds, chahoua, and a gargoyle.I have experience keeping Leopard geckos, crested geckos, chahoua, gargoyles, bearded dragons, chameleons, anoles, newts, red tail boas, corn snakes, ball pythons, mice, rats, gerbils, as well as fresh and salt water fish, I had also been in charge of the reptile department at a Petco while I was in college so I have a general knowledge about most commonly kept reptiles.I fell in love with geckos while rescuing 2 leos that were at the Petco that I had worked at. Ever since then I have been addicted, I love them :) I bred my leos for a couple years but decided it was too much to do all by myself and decided to sell off my collection. But now, about 5 years later I am finally settled and that itch you just can't scratch is nawing at me again... So I'd like to start a little website to better prepare my future gecko owners. So here it is! Look around and definitely look into joining a forum like the ones on ReptileRooms, Repashy, or Pangea, because the support system of other people in the hobby of keeping the species you are is the most important thing.Good luck and I hope you enjoy the site!
