MISSION STATEMENT

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada

is a national organization

rooted in gospel values

calling its members to holiness

through the service of the people of God.

OBJECTIVES

1. To achieve individual and collective spiritual development.

2. To promote the teachings of the Catholic Church.

3. To exemplify the Christian ideals in home and to promote family life.

4. To protect the sanctity of human life.

5. To enhance the role of women in the church and society through service.

6. To promote the human dignity of all people everywhere.

7. To uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world.

8. To contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice and harmony.

While every woman’s presence, young or old is significant at our meetings, we realize that in this busy world it may not always be possible to attend, however, your interest and support is as important as your attendance.

New members are always welcome. Membership is open to all Catholic women, 16 years and older. Our meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of the month, in our parish church hall, following the morning mass at 9:30 am (Mtg. 10:30 am). During the spring we will have occasional evening meetings at 7:00 - usually with an interesting guest speaker and sometimes a potluck dinner. No meetings are held during the months of July and August.

Our Various Projects Include:

1. Supporting St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

2. Supporting Meals on Wheels program both financially and with deliveries.

3. Supporting our both our elementary/ high school students and our parish Children’s liturgy program.

4. Giving small gifts/flowers and a smile to our shut in parishioners and residents of nursing homes.

5. Fundraising for Catholic Missions, Charitable organizations, Seminarians, Development and Peace and our parish.

6. Promoting for the elderly and the unborn.

We are a diverse group of women, from many ethnic backgrounds, sharing our faith, and our love for the League; enjoying laughter, having fun and fellowship together.

Don’t miss out on all the above and more, consider becoming one of us. All are welcome!!!
