President Neil presented Bonnie Lynn with a volunteer award to recognize her community involvement in Stettler.

Among other activities, for many years Bonnie helped provide costumes for school and local community theatre productions.

Bonnie responded to an IODE request for help by accepting the position of president and helping recruit new members. The IODE provides scholarships for students, books for school libraries and supports various charities.

Bonnie and her husband, Don, were Stettler‘s citizens of the year in 2016 for “generosity, support and commitment “to the community for decades.

Bonnie has taken charge of organizing, recruiting breast cancer survivors, and getting sponsors for a new dragon boat society. She and members of “Breasties in the Buff “are overseeing the refitting of the dragon boat and setting up a schedule for training participants. We hope to announce the public launch of the dragon boat this summer.
