If you are a parent or student looking for more resources/assignments to help you either clarify, review, or deepen your understanding of any music theory concepts, there are many possibilities. Blow are the links to a few of the places where you can find worksheets, practice songs, sight reading and other information to help you become more successful in choir.
1. Music Theory Worksheets is a site that contains multiple worksheets to help in the identification and labeling of note names through many different activities. You can access and print as many different pages that you like for free. The only clefs you will be required to learn and memorize in choir are the Treble and Bass clefs. There is no need to download or work on the Viola, Tenor or Alto Clef worksheets.
2. If you would like to gather information on some of the more famous composers, click on the link Famous Composer Info. Not every single composer is available on this site, but the more well-known have some key information about their lives and music.
3. Every day in choir we will be reviewing and practicing sight reading. I am not allowed to post the same sheets we use in class on this website because of copyright reasons. However, I have listed below multiple places where you can access/view/print other simple melodies that can be studied at home to increase your ability to sight read.
