What Is STEM Education?
STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is a program included in multiple schools across the nation mainly in charge of the academic disciplines of science. This program establishes an interdisciplinary approach toward these subject. Also, rather than teaching these subjects separately, these subjects are taught together as a whole rather than as individual subjects.
Why Is STEM Education Important?
STEM education is very important as it encompasses most of our day-to-day interactions. In the current world we live in, we are constantly surrounded by Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These subjects play a big role in our society, and if we view the big picture, they also encompass our economy.
How Can STEM Education Shape The Future?
STEM education can effectively shape our future if we manage to ensure that STEM education is carried out in all schools, and taught to students in a way that can later build them up to be the future leaders.

Project Based Learning (PBL) is a constructivist instructional approach where students are engaged in a meaningful inquiry of personal interest to them and where collaboration and personalized learning are emphasized. STEMSOS is a rigorous, interdisciplinary, standards-focused, and engaging STEM teaching approach that is teacher-facilitated, student-centered and directed through sets of project- and inquiry-based (P&IBL) projects. STEMSOS PBL approach is to maintain the focus on standards-based teaching while enriching and extending the learning of students through PBL projects. The goal is to promote not only collaborative skills and student ownership of learning but also to promote student success in state and national standards.
STEMSOS PBL Showcase is designed to promote and share exemplary student work in PBL projects that can serve as valuable learning and teaching tools for students, parents, teachers, and other educators.
