Today We were told to create a gmail account to be able to make a web site. We started out by opening google and type “make a gmail account”. Then we put in all of our personal information in and we followed the directions given which wes-firstnameinitial+lastname.School DomainnameYear@gmail.com. Then my partners and I talked about who was going to be the leader and what jobs/ task we each has to do. Emyly is the leader, Camila would kept all of the paperwork and Ashley is doing the pictures and doing the web site. We also went ahead and looked that the further task to see how much time we had for it to be done. Then we started talking about what project we wanted to do. After having time to discussing which one we wanted we finally picking one. It's called Balancing forks.

Today we got together after school and started working on our web site. By stating our web site mean by creating one. We had to name it the way they told us to which was naming it STEMSOS2016 and by our shortened project name and two digit number of our choice.Then we had to share it with each other by Using the "Share" button located on the upper right corner on our web page. Then Making stemsos.virtual@gmail.com is owner of the web site. Also we had to do the same for our STEM teacher's email and making them owner. After that we had to share it with our Social Studies teacher's and Your ELA teacher's email. And of course we had to share it with our team members if this is a group project.

Today we have to with Prepare some background research to present to our teacher. We were able to use our textbook, online sources including videos and the handout for your project if our teacher has given it to you. Which were all very useful. Our background research needed to include 4 parts. One, the Big picture: What is your topic, or main idea? Such as pressure, motion, cells, or polymers. Instead of describing your project with long sentences, use a list of keywords that will help us understand our topic better.
Second, Principle or/and concepts: Which principles and fundamental concepts does our project covers? Such as Pascal principle, law of inertia, torque, osmosis, reaction rate. Explain each principle or concept by one or two sentence as briefly as we can.Third, Keywords and units: Which words and units of measure will we use often when completing your research?And fourth, Figures: Any formulas, charts, graphs or chemical reactions that our project covers, if they exist for our project.

We had to Schedule a visit with the teacher in order to present our background research.
Our teacher posted a time table for us to schedule an appointment in order for us to present your background research in time. But Since our teacher has many students’ research to hear, we had to be responsible for our own scheduling and time management. But we had a other option was that we send our background information to our teacher in an email. If our teacher finds your research satisfactory, you will not have to present it in person. However, our teacher wanted request us come present it in person because they thought think it is necessary. He told us to Take notes on the feedback our teacher gave us. So these notes and your background research will be vital as we complete the assignment in the 2nd nine weeks, so we had to make sure we didn’t not lose them.

Today we had to Go to our teacher and ask if all the materials needed to start our assignment are available. And If all your materials are available. We were told to Put all your materials in a box. We also had to remember where our teacher let us place the box with all our materials. But If our teacher hands us the materials, and learn how they all work we had to make sure that nothing is missing.but if your materials aren’t available yet.we had to make a list of all the materials that we will need for our assignment. If we ordered but haven't arrived yet, we need to check with our teacher and ask when they will arrive. But since our project was a construction project or a home-experiment, we had to plan to purchase them. So that we have hem have all the materials we needed for it by now

Today we were Creating the “What is STEM SOS?" page. First we Logined in to https://sites.google.com/ with the gmail account we created. Then Click on our Google site that you have previously created. After that we have to Click on NEW PAGE button on the upper right corner of the screen. We had to Name our page as "What is STEM SOS?"and Select the default template. Once that was done we had to Select location of your page. So we Choose "page at the top level". Then Click on CREATE button at the top.Start editing your page. Once you are done with editing click on SAVE button on the upper right corner of the screen.

Today we had to Choose the ELA component of our project. We had select one of the options that they gave us. Which are: Journal entries, Argumentative Essay, Narrative Essay , Newspaper , Interview or Student Choice which we had to speak with our teacher on which ELA component worked better for our project. And then we had to write the reasons for choosing this specific ELA component. Explaining Why do we think that this format will best illustrate our project's objectives and can monitor our progress? Then we to Choose the SS component of our project. We had select one of the options that were given. Which are:Historical connections, Its economic influence, Its political influence, How it is observed in the world (geographical location), How it affected policy and society , Legal cases. Then we had to explain our reasons for choosing this specific SS component: (Why do you think that this format will best illustrate our project's objectives and monitor our progress?)

Today we had Write a script and a scenario for your digital presentation.we had to Title our script in a format: Name of Project + STEM SOS + Level II. Then Begin our script with an introductory statement. "Hi, I am a student from harmony school of nature". Then we had to explain the Math/Science principle behind our experiment. Alos Include our ELA component in our script so that it takes up 10-20 seconds during your video presentation. Then Include our SS component in your script so that it takes up 10-20 seconds during your video presentation too. The we End our script with "Thanks for watching Harmony School of Nature.". Lastly we Emailed it to our teachers for approval. Then check with our teachers for any corrections before recording the video.

Today we had to Capture videos and take pictures for PBL Video Presentation.
We had to Try to find a quality digital camera for taking pictures and recording your video which we already had. We had to make sure that we are recording in a quiet place without any background noise when we record the videos and narrate our script.
We tried not to shake the camera. We had to always wear our school uniform if we are capturing or taking pictures out of school. We had to make a nice and clean background in our pictures and videos. We Made sure we were audio and the sound in our video is loud enough to be heard. We edited the of the Adjust the brightness and contrast to make it look better. The materials, procedure and the action of our project was put in our video.

Today we Designed and Publishing our Project Brochure. The purpose for prepare a brochure about our project is for visitors to used them during a science fair or in a presentation. We had Use our own text and photos/figures to prepare the handout. We gave a title to your handout as "Balancing forks 2015".Then we Insert the banner/logo and the contact information of our campus at the top of the page. The we Generated a QR code containing a link to your Video Presentation hosted at either YouTube. Then we Generated another QR code containing a link to your web site. Lastly we Copy and paste the pictures of your QR codes to your brochure.
