I remember the day I received an email from Japan from someone I'd never met. At that time, the internet was still in its infancy, and emails arrived rarely. It was about an album I'd recorded here in Italy, near Venice, called: Quella Fiamma. That email contained so many beautiful words written by an extremely kind and sensitive person. What seemed truly impossible to me was that he was describing the same feelings I had when I played that music, Quella Fiamma. So began our friendship, Yoshi, our shared feelings, the same ability to feel things with a heart always open to receiving the grandeur of Music and its immense power to transform the world into something magical that hadn't existed before. Then we met in person with your wonderful invitation to Japan, where we spent time together, sharing everything, even an earthquake and a few tornadoes! I will never stop thanking you for everything you have done for me and my music. My life would have been different without your constant advice, support, and help.I want to come almost to our days, when you came to visit me in Trieste and we played a memorable concert together in the Tartini Hall at the Conservatory, a dream come true with all the music we loved most. Now I've finished writing down my memories, everything else I carry in my heart, indelible and beautiful like something pure that can never be scratched.
Your always Friend Stefano
