Ο Αντώνιος Χαλυβίδης γεννήθηκε το 1978 στην Αθήνα.

Είναι απόφοιτος του State University of New York at New Paltz (BFA hons), και του Γ’ εργαστηρίου Γλυπτικής της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών στην Αθήνα.

Στις δημιουργίες του απαξιωμένες λειτουργικές βιομηχανικές μορφολογίες απογυμνώνονται από τον χρηστικό προορισμό τους και η αισθητική τους αναδεικνύεται αποσταγμένη. Δύο τέτοια γλυπτά του έχουν τοποθετηθεί σε δημόσιο χώρο στο Μονοπάτι της Αρκούδας στο Μέτσοβο, ενώ άλλο ένα, βραβευμένο, βρίσκεται σε μόνιμη έκθεση στο Μεσογειακό Αγρονομικό Ινστιτούτο Χανίων. Τα έργα του έχουν εκτεθεί στην Νέα Υόρκη, στο Βέλγιο και στην Ελλάδα.

Ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα.

Antonios Chalyvidis was born in 1978 in Athens.

He holds a BFA in Sculpture with honors from the State University of New York at New Paltz. He is also an alumnus of the Sculpture Department of the Athens School of Fine Arts.

In his work, he strips overlooked industrial morphologies from their utilitarian features while simultaneously highlighting their aesthetic aspects. He has two of his sculptures placed in public space (along the Ursa Trail in Metsovon), and one in permanent exhibition in the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania. He has shown in the city of New York, Belgium and Greece.

He lives and works in Athens.
