Anita M. Chaudhry

I am a Professor in the Department of Economics at California State University, Chico.

My research explores how people's access to and control of natural resources shape economic outcomes. Often these outcomes are undesirable and I identify possible solutions for such policy challenges. The bulk of my research experience has been on topics related to water use, agricultural production, land use change, and economic development.

I teach courses in economics of environment and sustainable development and enjoy working with students. I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Wyoming in 2008, and was awarded the 2014-15 Outstanding Research Mentor Award at CSU, Chico.
