The Wand Company used 3D scans of the original prop from 1966 and designed a speaker that connects to your smartphone, enabling you to receiving calls, can access Siri or Google Now or just play music if you’re in a groovy mood. When you press one of the buttons, the gadget activates the virtual assistant, while pressing another will act play clips from the show.

He has said that watching Captain Kirk using his communicator on the television show Star Trek inspired him with a stunning idea – to develop a handheld mobile phone. He and his team took only 90 days in 1973 to create the first portable cellular 800 MHz phone prototype.
