I am a macroeconomist interested broadly in search and matching and its applications to labor market dynamics, monetary theory, and asset markets.
I earned my undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Chicago, and my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. I taught at Amherst College prior to joining UNC.
I am a co-organizer of the first Chapel Hill - Copenhagen Conference on Macroeconomics and Deep Learning on September 3-4, 2026.
