In 2011, under the editorial direction of Sal Salerno, Stanislaus Audubon published "THE BIRDING SITES OF STANISLAUS AND MERCED COUNTIES." This booklet was designed to aid local and visiting birders in exploring more than three dozen locations where wild bird populations can be found.
