Petanque which originated in France is an inexpensive, easy and enjoyable game to learn that is played with metal boules (similar to Bocce). It is suitable for both singles and couples of all ages.
Our club is located at the Southern end of the Mornington Peninsula where you can hear the surf of Bass Strait roll in. Our clubrooms are surrounded by a combination of native flora and open fields and is in a beautiful rural setting.
Our Petanque club is part of the St.Andrew's Recreation Club which includes a tennis club and childrens playground.There are electric BBQs,a meeting room and kitchen.
Our members play in casual clothing each Friday at 3pm. The 1st Friday is for members only.We also play at 10 am on the 1st Sunday of each month.
They value friendship and also appreciate fine food, so we end most sessions with an optional sit down BBQ and a glass of wine or beer. Members bring their own food and refreshments but often share in a very relaxed,fun environment.
We visit other clubs for social and competition events throughout the year.There are Social outings as well.
Casual visitors are always welcome to join in the fun. Petanque boules can be provided and coaching is given free to beginners.
