How the 2016 MetaIntegral Foundation grant works.:
The "portfolio"contains 11 finalists who are applying for up to $10,000 each. Each project has its own min-funraising page (here is mine) which is to support both the project and the entire portfolio. (It is also possible to support the portfolio as a whole without reference to a particular project.) If enough money is raised in total (that would be about $50-80,000), every finalist will be funded. If less is raised, all of those who donated (yes you!) will be allowed to vote for their top 5 projects (including mine!) and the donated funds will be distributed to as many of the highest voted projects as can be funded. That is, giving even a small donation now allows you to vote for my project around the end of February (you will receive an email about voting). On my fundraising page it says the goal is "$10,000" — that is the budget for the StageLens MetaIntegral grant proposal—I don't expect I will raise that much from my friends and colleagues on my personal fundraising page there.
