Design specification description
The physical characteristics of the design consists of an 8” tall two-piece housing with a diameter of 4”. The top housing, house the conduction cup and the and the cooling module, while the lower housing, house the cooling system. The diameter of the conduction cup will range between 2.75” to 3”. For the durability, the housing will be made of Polycarbonate plastic to protect the mechanisms on the inside.
Environmental characteristics is based on the weather and peak load temperatures. For example, in buffalo the lowest and the highest temperatures in the winter and summer respectively will be analyzed. To power the design concept, it will be plugged into a 12 V outlet.
The design concept will be able to operate efficiently within the listed temperature requirements below.
· The exterior surface temperature will be within the range of 35° - 90°F
· The cooling interior temperature from the cold side of the cooling module will be within the range of 35° - 40°F
· Heating interior temperature will have a ranger between 110° - 120°F
The system will have an operational life time of approximately 20 years with maintenance procedure will be done as needed.
The materials needed to make the prototype is Polycarbonate Plastic, and Aluminum. The housing and the fan bracket will be made of plastic while the heat-sink and conduction cup will be made of aluminum.
All specifications are subjected to change. Once the prototype reaches development, dimensions, and characteristics may be modified in order to accommodate components.
