My name is Alisha. I attend School of Science and Technology. Currently in physics class I am taking part in a Stem Club. Lately some projects we've done are launching water rockets and explaining inertia. We made water rockets and water rocket launchers to explain the concept of air pressure. I connected 2 copper pipes and then added a water valve and connected that valve to a bicycle pump. I added water to the water rocket, connected the rocket to the water rocket launcher, pumped the bicycle pump which added pressure to the water which made the rocket launch and blast off into the air. It was pretty exciting and fun. My class explained interia through one of Newton's laws. A new stem project I'm doing is using a gyroscope to show the conservation of angular momentum. I hope to continue the year learning physics through fun projects. It helps to not just learn physics in a boring atmosphere, but to make it fun by doing many projects that show physics in our everyday life.
